Work on the H2MAC project is progressing

From September 26th to the 27th, 2024, the H2MAC project Consortium met once again, this time in the City of San Sebastián, hosted by ZB Group.

The members of the consortium addressed, among other issues, the definition of specifications for the hydrogen machines to be developed in the project and agreements were reached that will strengthen the consortium and ensure the viability and impact of the project on European industry.

On the 26th, the members of the consortium reviewed the closure of the activities of the first work package (WP1), in which work has been done on the definition of specifications of the hydrogen machines to be developed in the project. The meeting also served as a launch for the activities of the second work package (WP2), which encompasses the design activities of a modular, scalable and viable solution that allows the transition from diesel machinery to zero-emission hydrogen-powered machinery, in the field of non-road mobile machinery for construction and mining.

On Friday 27th, the H2MAC consortium had the opportunity to visit the ZB facilities, where they were able to see the manufacturing and assembly factory of their crushing machines.

Finally, the meeting was finished by visiting the BTB plant, a plant for the treatment and recovery of Construction and Demolition Waste, with subsequent reuse of Recovered Materials (in Ortuella, Vizcaya). There, ZB presented one of its crushing machines and the rest of the partners had the opportunity to see it in real operation.
