H2MAC at MMH 2026: Promoting hydrogen innovation for the future of mining industry

H2MAC project showcased by ANMOPYC during Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH) 2026, held in Seville, Spain, from 20 to 22 October.

Throughout the event, ANMOPYC showcased H2MAC at its exhibition stand, raising awareness of the project’s objectives and innovative solutions among industry professionals, companies and key stakeholders from the mining sector.

MMH 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility of H2MAC, exchange knowledge with industry representatives and highlight the importance of collaborative European research and innovation in advancing more sustainable mining and construction machinery.

As a project partner responsible for communication and dissemination activities, ANMOPYC continues to support the promotion of H2MAC and its contribution to a cleaner, more efficient and sustainable industrial future.

H2MAC aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of heavy-duty machinery by developing and demonstrating innovative hydrogen fuel cell powertrain technology for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) used in mining and construction.

The project focuses on the development of two hydrogen-powered machines — an excavator and a crusher — designed to demonstrate the potential of hydrogen technology in demanding real-world operating conditions.
