H2MAC wellcomes PowerCell Group as new member of the Consortium!

We are thrilled to welcome PowerCell Group as the newest partner of the H2MAC project. PowerCell Group brings extensive expertise in fuel cell technology, with a strong background in developing and producing fuel cell stacks and fuel cell systems with a uniquely high power density for applications in the Aviation, Marine, Power Generation, Off-road and On-road segments. The values and innovation of PowerCell Group are an ideal match for H2MAC mission to advance sustainable alternatives for Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM).

The H2MAC project aims to research and develop fuel cells capable of enduring the demanding conditions of the construction and mining sectors, including exposure to dust and intense vibrations. The project will design a scalable hydrogen-powered fuel cell (FCE) powertrain for NRMM, focusing on creating a reliable solution that can perform efficiently under real-world conditions.

With PowerCell Group onboard, we look forward to leveraging their technological strength as we work to ensure these new fuel cells can withstand such environments

Our consortium now includes eight partners from five countries, each contributing unique expertise in areas like electrification, hydrogen technology, and NRMM manufacturing. Together, we will test the newly developed modular FCE powertrain in an excavator and a shredder over 1,000 hours in real quarry conditions. These demonstrations will pave the way for the commercial adoption of hydrogen in NRMM applications across construction, mining, and beyond.

The addition of PowerCell Group reinforces our commitment to fostering a zero-emission future. We are excited to collaborate closely with them to help accelerate the transition from diesel to hydrogen in the off-road sector, driving sustainable progress across the industry.
